REASONS FOR ORDER
TEITELBAUM, J:
[1] The applicant challenges by way of judicial review the decision, dated November 4, 1999, made by immigration officer Craig Watson, in which it was determined that there were insufficient humanitarian and compassionate grounds to warrant processing the applicant's application for permanent residence from within Canada, pursuant to subsection 114(2) of the Immigration Act. Leave to commence this application for judicial review was granted on May 24, 2000.
[2] At the time the application for leave was allowed, the hearing for the judicial review application was set down for Friday, August 18, 2000 at 2:00 p.m. in Calgary, Alberta.
[3] At this time, on May 24, 2000, the applicant was represented by counsel.
[4] Counsel for the applicant was told of the decision allowing the application for leave and the date for the hearing of the judicial review application.
[5] On July 5, 2000, Madam Justice Tremblay-Lamer granted the applicant's application for an order, pursuant to Rule 369, that the applicant's counsel be removed as solicitor of record for the applicant.
[6] No new counsel has been appointed by the applicant.
[7] When the judicial review application was called for hearing, no one appeared on behalf of the applicant.
[8] The application for judicial review is denied.
