REASONS FOR ORDER AND ORDER
BLAIS J.
[1] This is a motion to postpone the hearing scheduled for January 5, 2000 at 9:30 a.m.
[2] The reason cited in support of the motion is that the applicants" counsel is unable to appear on that date. His wife is scheduled to give birth on or about December 17, 1999 and for several months he and his wife have had an agreement that he would take a paternity leave from December 13, 1999 to January 17, 2000.
[3] Counsel is already the father of three other children, whom he will obviously have to look after during that period.
[4] In my view, the applicants" counsel has submitted a serious reason for postponing the hearing scheduled for January 5, 2000.
[5] For these reasons, I order that this hearing scheduled for January 5, 2000 in the Federal Court of Canada be adjourned to May 24, 2000 at 11:00 a.m., at 30 McGill Street, City of Montréal, Province of Quebec, for a period not to exceed two hours.
