ASSESSMENT OF COSTS - REASONS
DIANE PERRIER, ASSESSMENT OFFICER
[1] On May 23, 2002, the Court dismissed the application for judicial review with costs in this docket as well as in the following dockets: T-2291-98, T-2292-98 and T-2294-98.
[2] On March 17, 2005, Bernard Letarte, counsel for the respondent, filed a bill of costs in each docket and asked that they be assessed without personal appearance by the parties.
[3] A letter was sent to the parties setting a schedule for filing their written submissions. As no submissions have been filed to date. I will now proceed to assess the costs in accordance with the documentation in the record.
[4] All of the fees requested are allowed as submitted with the exception of item 26. Item 26 will be reduced from 4 to 2 units since the assessment is not contested.
[5] The disbursements are awarded since they are reasonable and established by affidavit.
[6] The respondent's bill of costs is assessed and allowed in the amount of $1,674.00. A certificate will be issued for the following dockets: T-2291-98, T-2292-98 and T-2294-98. A copy of the reasons will be placed in each of the dockets.
