Date: 19990205
Docket: IMM-74-99
BETWEEN:
MARTINA KANDAUROVA
Applicant
- and -
THE MINISTER OF CITIZENSHIP AND IMMIGRATION
Respondent
REASONS FOR ORDER
ROTHSTEIN J..
[1] The applicant requested reasons for the refusal to grant the extension of time sought.
[2] The evidence from the CAIPS notes is that the applicant was advised of the refusal of her application at her interview in May 1997, and a letter was sent to her advising of the refusal in December 1997. The applicant's submissions with respect to communications in 1998 are irrelevant to the question of the extension of time. There is no reasonable justification provided for the delay of over one year to commence judicial review proceedings.
