Date: 19980526
Docket: IMM-3437-97
BETWEEN:
POU SIM CHAN,
Applicant,
- and -
THE MINISTER OF CITIZENSHIP
AND IMMIGRATION,
Respondent.
REASONS FOR ORDER
ROTHSTEIN, J.
[1] There appears to be some confusion in the visa officer's decision as to the occupation under which the Applicant was assessed. For example, CCDO #8563199 refers to a sewing machine operator although the visa officer seems to have thought it referred to the supervisor of sewing machine operators.
[2] The Minister does not object to the matter being remitted for redetermination.
[3] The judicial review is allowed and the matter is remitted to a different visa officer for redetermination.
